Why The Villages is Just Right for Len & Ann

May 8. Welcome , to our weekly newsletter.  This week we feature reviews of two great places to retire - Pinehurst and Santa Fe. We've updated our interview about Len and Ann's life in The Villages so we can get a  whole new set of fresh comments. And we're also asking for your input - the heck with what other people think, what do you think the best place to retire is!

There is no shortage of outfits telling you where the best places to retire are. But what do you think is the best?  We are asking all our members to answer that question in a very brief Comment to this article (there are already some good ones!)  We promise a future article that summarizes and categorizes your thoughts. It should be fascinating - but we NEED YOU to take 1 minute to provide your input!
Pinehurst, NC
If you like to live among the legends Pinehurst might be your ideal retirement. Founded as a healthy resort with famed landscape architect Frederick Law Olmstead assisting, this charming village set in the pines soon became a revered golf capital. Pinehurst #2 has been frequent home to the U.S. Open.
The Villages
There has been a lot of talk about The Villages and other large active adult communities on this site lately. So we thought it was time to bring back an updated version of the interview we ran in early 2012 with Len and Ann - 2 baby boomers who are thrilled with their new life in The Villages.

It happens often enough that we need to be more specific. Just last week a member asked if we would consider reviewing Palm Springs, California. It made us realize that there are at least a few folks who don't realize that we already have reviews of 930 cities and towns at Topretirements (including Palm Springs), not to mention over 2,000 active adult communities. There are multiple ways to find these reviews; perhaps the easiest way is to use the Best Places link near the top of the page (you can click on a state in the map or use the pull-down menu).

If you like this newsletter please forward it to a friend.  We also offer 3 more: a Daily Digest (it provides a link to everything new on the site from the day before),  New Active Adult Communities East, and New Active Adult Communities West (the latter 2 are weekly).
Santa Fe, NM
Santa Fe is the oldest European community west of the Mississippi, founded as the capital of New Mexico by Coronado in 1515. Set in the mountains, Santa Fe has great museums and restaurants, in addition to being one of the art capitals of America.
